Gifts and stocking stuffers for the RVer in your life

Yep, it’s that time of the year when RVers set up tiny Christmas trees on the dashboard, hang stockings with care from cabinets and add a few more lights to the awning.

Spending time in a campground during the holidays is a tradition for a lot of RVers, and you can count on those stockings being stuffed with RV and camping related items. If you are getting ready to do a little holiday shopping, here are some items to add to your list.

GoPro HERO9

Every traveler should own a GoPro. These cameras are very compact, which makes them great for traveling outdoors. Don’t be fooled, though. Despite their small size, they are incredibly durable & waterproof. This is an excellent feature because you would want to avoid hauling an oversized, fragile camera while hiking the terrain. Be sure to take full advantage of the GoPro versatility, as it can be mounted to multiple surfaces, even helmets.

Camp Chairs

Good camp chairs are essential for RV trips. Do yourself a favor and get a couple of good ones and you’ll spend more time outside than sitting in your camper. We love these camping chairs – they pack down super small and are ultralight.

Headlamp

In most cases, headlamps win for versatility over standard flashlights. Trips to the shower or laundry house after dark are so much easier with a headlamp. So are roadside repairs, digging in storage compartments and just about every other thing you’d use a regular flashlight for. The Petzl Ttactikka is a good choice – slap some rechargeable AAA’s in it and light up the night.

Little Red Portable Campfire

This thing is so great. No more wandering around looking for tinder and dealing with wet firewood. Pull out the Little Red Portable Campfire, hook it up to propane and you are in business. Also, a lot of campgrounds prohibit wood fires, so this sucker will make you the envy of your neighbors. Better buy some extra marshmallows, too.

Popcorn Popper

What’s camping without popcorn? Boring, that’s what. Making popcorn over a campfire is a great way to bring people together and can be a fun activity for the whole family while camping. With minimal ingredients required, popcorn can be an easy snack to have on hand in your RV and ready to cook over a fire. You can take things to the next level by adding different seasonings and ingredients to give your taste buds a fantastic treat. The Coleman Popcorn Popper can whip up two whole quarts of popcorn in no time and is our pick for RVers.

Yahtzee National Parks Travel Edition

If you haven’t played Yahtzee before, you are truly missing out on one of the great games of our age. Now there’s a National Parks edition which is perfect for a family night at camp. Bonus points: a portion of the proceeds goes to the National Parks Foundation. Very cool.

Kindle Paperwhite

Reading and camping – these two go hand-in-hand. You probably don’t have room in your RV for a complete library, but a Kindle does. The Paperwhite is easy to read in both daylight and at night, making it the perfect companion on your trips. If you need a device for reading and other forms of media (movies, music, etc.) then take a look at the Kindle Fire. Both are great devices and make for great holiday gifts.
