As a family of four with two boys, having a comfortable and dependable van made our trip so much easier.

We rented a camper van from Mike for a week-long adventure through Yosemite, Sequoia, and the Eastern Sierra, and it completely exceeded our expectations. From the moment we picked up the van, everything felt seamless. Mike was responsive, super helpful, and clearly takes pride in his vehicles. The van was clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed—bedding, kitchen gear, solar power, and even some local tips that made a big difference.
Having our own mobile base made exploring these iconic places so much better. We woke up to granite walls in Yosemite, spent quiet evenings under giant sequoias, and chased golden light and open skies across the Eastern Sierra. Being able to park, cook, and sleep right where the adventure was happening added a level of freedom and immersion that hotels just can’t match.
Mike’s communication before and during the trip was excellent, and the van performed flawlessly the entire time. If you’re looking for a reliable, comfortable way to experience California’s best mountain landscapes, we highly recommend renting from him. This trip will stick with us for a long time.

Mike was a really great host. He took alot of time to explain in depth all of the features of the Mercedes Sprinter van that we choose. I also loved all the extra items he had available for cooking/cleaning for free. He even had mosquito repellent available for purchase. This is especially convenient for folks flying in from other states, who don't want to have to purchase all of those things for single use. The only issue in the van was a small leak from pipes under the fridge. A stream continually leaked onto our floor which made it messy and frustrating to operate in the van. I wish we were aware of that, beforehand. However the van drove great, had good safety features, ample storage and was clean and comfortable. The van has low water capacity and the shower is very tight for taller folks (like my husband) so we utilized public showers at Sequoia National Park. And reserved the water for cleaning dishes and the toilet. At our return we looked a more spacious dodge van, which i'm really hoping to rent for our next trip. Overall great experience and I would recommend this service for anyone looking for a compact vehicle with nice amenities.

Mike was extremely helpful and even met us early so we could get started on our short trip (3days). He explained everything thoroughly and was very helpful. He even has extras to help you on your journey, especially if you are flying in for your adventure. The van was in top shape and very clean. Mike tops off all fluids, including gas. You don’t even have to fill it up when you return it. We will definitely be renting from California VanLife again!!! Thanks Mike for making our trip magical.

The Solis van was awesome and Mike did such a great job ensuring that we knew where everything was at and how to use all of the features. Mike also provided recommendations and pretty much anything that we asked for. 10/10 would recommend. If we go back to the area, we’d definitely plan on renting from Mike again.

RV was perfect for our trip requirements. We enjoyed using the 2 separate sleeping areas to accommodate different bedtimes. The RV was easy to use and although it had some quirks, id say everything does. For that reason it was incredibly helpful that Mike did a detailed walkthrough and helped us understand the important systems. Few times I had to text Mike either really early or really late for some things and he was very responsive and helpful, but for the most part enjoyed the RV and I’ll be renting class B’s more often.

Mike was excellent to work with and helped this first time van driver feel confident with the vehicle. We had a blast. The vehicle was spotless and so easy to drive and navigate. Will be back again for Yosemite!
