I've lived in California for over a decade now and I've traveled all over the state from the Sierra's to the desert to the beach. I'm a Mammoth fanatic and enjoy boondocking over the weekend whenever I can.

Fantastic experience everything was easy from collection to drop off

We took a family trip with 2 couples and traveled up the west coast and back down the interior for one month. Ryan's RV, Barbara, served us superbly with two comfy beds, a well outfitted kitchen and even a tiny bathroom (in our case, used more for urgencies than day to day use). Ryan provided such nice amenities: a well stocked cutlery and utensil kit, a coffee maker, good cooking pots and pans, warm and comfortable sleeping linens, floor mats, and even the best tea kettle with a built in thermometer--we had coffee snobs traveling with us, so this was important. We also used the camping chairs (for four) and a folding table to set up in the most beautiful spots we found! We found the van easy to drive and park even in larger towns and cities we passed through. Our time with 4 people in this well thought out and totally up-to-date campervan turned out to be more easeful than we originally expected.

Hi Damon - Very sorry for having to cancel your reservation. This rig had been having generator issues and I did not want to send you folks out with a less than capable van. I know Outdoorsy was able to re-book you another rig in leu of the unavailability. Safe travels!

Every year for the past 7 years my family participates and supports a cycling event; Ride Across California. We ride from Yuma to Mission Bay with San Diego 5th graders and their parents while camping along the way. We were so lucky to find Ryan's vehicle. It was nice to have the comfort of a vehicle this year. Both beds were comfy. The linens provided kept us warm for the overnights. The bathroom/shower was very nice. Loved the fridge for cold drinks during the 100 degree days. It was easy to drive and fun. Ryan was amazing to work with. He walked thru every function and feature of the vehicle. Highly recommended.

This RV was fantastic. Ryan could not have been a more gracious and responsive host! Just a very kind generous person. We had the rig during a slew of rainy days and we were cozy and warm inside. We did not have shore power and the generator wasn’t working when we had her, but the house battery was plenty strong for us to charge devices, run what we needed. Propane lasted fine for 3 of us over 4 nights. The rig is only 6 months old, so in great shape. Bed was very comfortable though my 6 ft 2 husband actually fit better in the upper bunk. We have a 1997 VW camper so wanted to try out the “luxury version” and it didn’t disappoint. Highly recommend! And the bathroom was not hard to work with. Showers are definitely tight, but hey, it’s a warm shower!

Ryan couldn't have been a better host than we had hoped for, especially for our very first trip in a camper van. He was super thorough, organized, responsive, and the van was in superb shape. It was obvious he really cared about the upkeep of the vehicle (especially since it's pretty much brand new!), so we also treated it like it was our own vehicle during our trip, of which he was very appreciative. We look forward to renting from him in the future.

There is lots of choice out there and Ryan is the best for many reasons. He is thoughtful and responsive. He includes everything you will need especially for out of towners who don’t have towels/linens.
The van is impeccable (brand new).

Barbara was awesome during our trip to Joshua Tree National Park. She took care of our family of four very well. Within just 3day/2night trip, we got so attached to her that my 6-year old was very emotional when she learned that we had to return Barbara back :(

Barbara was amazing. My family of four and I took her up to Malibu. She was comfortable, well equipped, clean, and her owner Ryan was helpful and flexible. I would wholeheartedly recommend the duo.
