This was my first experience with Outdoorsy. Hours before I was scheduled to pick up the car, the host indicated she would not be present. Asking if she would be able earlier to provide a walkthrough, she replied that the car could be picked up earlier for a fee which did not answer my request for a walkthrough. Customer service helped us since she was not available. Indicator lights starting going off just 140 miles into our trip (engine indicator, cruise control). More lights went off the next morning which we had to address before we could start our day. On our second to last day, when we we only a few miles down the road, the car died completely. Thank God we were at a scenic stop at Red Canyon and a gentlemen happened to have jumper cables. We promptly returned the car to the owner a day early. We were lucky we were not stranded in the middle of the desert with no signal. Absolutely not what should be expected from an average Outdoorsy host, let alone someone who had been designated as a 'SuperHost'.

We always conduct a thorough inspection of the vehicle before handing it over to any guest. In our past experience, we have never encountered an issue like this. On the contrary, we are concerned that the situation may have been worsened by improper adjustments made by the guest.

Car was great and suited our needs. Roof top tent was comfortable and camping supplies provided were very helpful! Host was responsive and good with communication. The only negative was that the “refrigerator” would not work. We ended up just using it as a cooler and buying ice. Host was apologetic. We would’ve preferred a regular cooler just to have more space for food.

Pop up tent was safe and secure. A nice supply of food camping gear supplied.

The owners are a great couple who nicely modified the Subaru for budget yet amazing camping experiences! Chunky tires, strong engine, tent set up are great. Also feels good on a road at high speeds. Rent comfortably sleeps 2 and it is very to set up and fold.
