I rented this RV for a final journey trip for my Mom who has stage 4 stomach cancer and doesn't have much time left. She wanted to see her grandson and good friend one last time so we decided on this RV for the beds and bathroom. Jose was very responsive to my messages and seemed very understanding of our situation. Before pick up day I confirmed we would be able to extend the rental period if needed and what would occur in the situation if we need to shorten our trip as we did not know if our mom would be able to handle a 4000+ mile trip. He stated typically they would charge for the full rental in the case we needed to shorten the trip, but he said he would be happy to only charge us for the days we used the RV. Pick up day came and he was detailed in the walk through and mentioned outlets that didn't work. We left and started our way back home with the RV. After driving for only 39 min I had come to the conclusion that this RV is just way to rough on the road and my mom would not be able to handle it, so I pulled over and immediately called Jose and told him unfortunately I would need to return the RV. I told him I would be willing to pay for 1 day and the gas used as he had been very understanding and accommodating and I wanted to do the same and he stated it was fine he had no problem giving me a FULL REFUND. I returned to RV to his driveway and called to inform him of such as he left for work already and he said he would be in contact with me and apologized for it not working out. This is where the accommodating and understanding was no longer there. I returned the RV on Friday 9/11, I kept checking the app to see the trip for the next 2 days and noticed it still said on trip. I messaged Jose on the outdoorsy app asking if there was anything else I needed to do for the cancellation and refund, no response. I sent him a text message to his personal cell, still no response just ghosted. At this point I'm already fearing that he was not being truthful and was purposely not cancelling the trip to keep all the money. I called the outdoorsy customer service and confirmed he has NOT notified them of the cancellation, making it clear he was not holding up his word. I would press the fact that if anybody rents from this host, do not take him for his word. If you cancel or modify your trip regardless of what nice guy things he says don't believe him and report your cancellation or modifications to outdoorsy customer service immediately. I personally would NOT recommend renting from this host.

We loved our camper van rental and working with Jose! This was our second time booking this van, and once again, it was a fantastic experience. The vehicle was clean, comfortable, dependable, and thoughtfully stocked with all the essentials. It comfortably accommodated our family of four (two adults and two kids) and made for an easy and enjoyable trip. Jose was great to work with and helped make the entire process seamless. We look forward to booking this van again next year!

Jose was great and the van was perfect for our Spring Break road trip! Everything worked great and pick-up/drop-off was a breeze. My 10 year-old twins had an absolute blast and we made lifelong memories that include a lot of fun around using the camper for this adventure. Highly recommend for anyone with 2-4 people on a trip like this because you can park it anywhere without the inconvenience of having a big Class A rig. The hook-ups for power and water were simple for me as a newbie and I will absolutely be renting again if we plan another road trip in the future!

Jose was a great host, making arrangements to pickup and drop-off the RV was very flexible and easy, he took a lot of time and care to show us how the RV works and how to have a great experience. The RV itself was clean and very easy to drive and my 9-year old son loved the "crow's nest" bed. All of the screens kept airflowing. All-in easy, fun, great experience.

Jose was incredibly helpful and responsive and flexible . The RV was super comfortable and luxurious and we found it was full of lovely little nooks to rest and sit in. It a very memorable trip for us.

A number of the outlets in the vehicle did not work, including the coffee maker. The window on the very top was broken, which was disclosed afterwards, especially while driving. Hot air was entering the car.

We had the best time renting Jose’s van! We went on my daughter’s school campout and felt so prepared with the van— it had everything we needed! Our two kids (ages 3 and 5) thought it was the coolest thing. Oh, and even though it rained, we were cozy and comfortable the whole time. We can’t wait to go on another family van trip!

Our family of 4 enjoyed staying in this Van! It was comfortable to drive and easy to maneuver. We loved our off grid vacation in Joshua Tree. Would definitely rent again!
