Renting John's camper van for our Lake Superior Circle Tour was an absolute delight! As first-time camper van users, we were a bit nervous about managing everything, but John was incredibly helpful. He took the time to educate us on all the features of the van and shared numerous pro tips to enhance our experience. His thorough walkthrough made us feel completely at ease.

John is a fantastic host! The camper van is as promised, built beautifully and extremely comfortable. Perfect size for the two of us. We would unquestionably rent again!

My trip was 5 nights. This was my first van experience. The van was clean, easy to use, well maintained, modern, and safe. It fit my husband and me well. We would rent the van again if we ever go to UP again.

The best experience ever! John is an amazing owner! He explained everything in detail, replied quickly when we had questions and what's the most important he built a perfect van! I couldn't be more happy I found this Happy Van for our trip to Up North Michigan. It has everything you may need for camping. Don't think twice - just book it!! Thanks John for letting us drive it and create these wonderful memories!

Super comfortable, kitted out, excellent adventure mobile. John’s done a stellar job designing the van to basically work for you- smart solar and every convenience and comfort element you could ask for. We picked the van up for a weeklong adventure around Michigan and dropped her off with major inspiration for our own build. Nothing. It praise for the vehicle and overall experience- John was incredibly helpful, informative and accommodating and helped ensure we had a fantastic trip.

EXPERIENCE OF A LIFETIME!!! John is amazing! This van is super functional and well thought out. John's attention to detail and craftsmanship is superb. The amenities exceeded our expectations as its very self sufficient (solar powered energy) and the campgrounds provided the rest for us as needed (toilet/shower/unlimited fresh water). Very easy to navigate and park. From State Parks, to primitive camping, to beaches -- it does it all! Perfect for a two-person getaway. Such an inspiring trip thru the U.P. and I highly recommend John's van to all!

John’s van was epic! It was really comfortable and perfect for our getaway exploring Moab. His fitout is great and he has honestly thought of everything one could need for a great camping trip. The little heater with our own sleeping bags & a blanket helped keep us toasty even with it being 15 degrees overnight.

We took this van out for Thanksgiving (socially distant). We learned that John had thought out so many details for function and comfort of the van. Details like the stylish propane stove to keep us warm to dimmer lights for cooking, reading etc. We were pleasantly surprised how comfortable the van life experience is at 20degrees! John was a “super host”. He responded immediately through the rental process. I would highly recommend renting this van!

We had an amazing trip with this van. It was well equipped with everything we could need. Recommend bringing an extra blanket and pillows if you need a little more comfort and a coffee apparatus if you prefer something other than instant coffee - there is a very efficient electric kettle provided. Our dog loved the van and rode comfortably on the bed. Every detail of the van was well thought out - from the extra curtains to help keep in heat to the butane burner and cookware.
We took the van from Telluride to Escalante and then to Moab. John was super helpful and communicative through the whole process and checked in throughout the trip to make sure we were comfortable. Very highly recommend renting this van!

We had a wonderful trip to Diablo Canyon NM in John's van. Everything about renting this van from John was as easy as can be. The van is fully equipped and very comfortable for two humans and a German Shepherd. Highly recommended!
