This was a great trip! My Mom (age 88) used to have a Westfalia Weekender and she thoroughly enjoyed reliving camping memories in the comfortable (& safe) Metris. We stayed one night near Molalla, where my brother has a little place, then took backroads to Waldport and then up the coast, stopping along the way at good birding sites. We stayed at South Beach, Devils Lake, Cape Lookout & Ft Stevens. Except for Ft Stevens, the last night, the campgrounds were not crowded or noisy. The sound of the surf at Cape Lookout was heavenly. Lots of great birding - especially at Beaver Creek (you can canoe through there, too), Cape Lookout South Jetty, and Cape Meares (for seabirds) and up at Lake Hebo. So nice to be able to pull into a Nature Preserve and make a picnic! It rained on the last night, but we were plenty cozy in the van. If we didn't have to get up very early for the drive back, we would have taken advantage of the awning.

Peace Vans went above and beyond all of our expectations! The team and van were amazing and made our trip seamless. Pilchuk was a champ. We felt safe, free and waving at all of the other Vanagons was a fun advantage. Any time we had questions or needed advice/ recommendations, PV was ready to help! I have already recommended Peace Vans to everyone who will listen and will definitely be back.

We had an awesome vacation this past summer touring the Olympic Peninsula with Klickitat! The van slept great and the supplies provided made the trip super easy. Peace vans recommended itinerary for the OP was a great resource — we especially loved the private camp site on the coast. Will definitely rent again when we return to the wilds of Washington State!

We had a great week camping predominately on the islands - Salt Spring Island and numerous nights on Vancouver Island. The van did great and worked well for me and my two teenage kids. We brought a tent so each person had their own sleeping space and that proved to be a smart move. Perfect weather on the islands and we had no problems finding camping without reservations midweek on the southwest coast of Vancouver Island and on Salt Spring. We camped on the reservation at Pacheedaht campground in Port Renfrew, beautiful being on the harbor and riverfront at same time. Camped at Lake Cowichan at Gordon Bay provincial Park, a nice, larger park in the forest but with beach/lake access. Cowichan has some great tubing/kayaking on their river so we cruised that one afternoon. The east coast of Island was busier/more commercialized and we could not get into campground at Parksville, but found nice private campground just north sitting directly on the ocean just north of Qualicum bay. The ferries require leaving plenty of room for error - some late/cancelled, some early, some ferrys sailing at times not showing on the online schedule. So keep that in mind up there. Definitely recommend exploring this part of the northwest!!! The manual transmission on Nesqually definitely helped on the windy, hilly roads on the islands. And if you can find the 94 octane gas up in Canada use it!!! it helps a lot. Vehicle was very well equipped, we found ourselves not needing many camping items we brought. Well thought out camping package. And great customer service from the team at Peace Vans. Highly recommended.

It was a great adventure and everyone at Peace Vans was friendly, helpful, and courteous, going out of their way. Our van "Philchuck", was well equipped and it was a delight to travel in. I have owned two Westy's in years gone by, but my wife had not had the opportunity. We both had a great week! Thank You to the entire Peace Van family!

Excellent service and communication from Peace Vans. I really liked all the detailed camping equipment that came with the rental. The equipment and blankets made our trip so much easier to plan and do. Kids had an amazing time, and us adults too! The Oregon coast trip itinerary was perfect.
