The 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan is a reliable and efficient performer on the highway. A house battery powers the Dometic fridge, outlets, and lights and is charged from the van's alternator, with some additional help from a roof-top solar array. The rear seat can comfortably accommodate two people (and perhaps a smaller third). The rear pedestal table either stows in the storage compartment or can be left up to work or play while underway. Under the rear lift-gate, the well-appointed galley kitchen includes a handpump sink, single burner butane stove, Dometic 12V cooler, and a full set of cookware.In the evenings, the storage box extends into a comfortable full-sized bed, and the rooftop tent raises to accommodate two more with a view of the night sky. The van provides all of the basics to get out on the road and choose your own route without being beholden to a route or schedule.
