This is a 2004 Chevrolet Express 3500, LWB model, with a fiberglass high top and a Quigley 4x4 conversion. It’s exactly 20’ long so it will fit into a standard parking space which makes camping a cinch just about anywhere. Total height is just over 9 ft and interior standing height is just under 6 ft, so it feels like a tiny apartment inside with plenty of storage space for your adventure gear. The cedar paneling, color accents and porthole windows make it feel like a captain's cabin. With the heater on, it stays toasty even on chilly mountain evenings, or you can sling up the hammock diagonally and enjoy a beach sunset. Ce qui est inclus- 2x100 watt Renogy solar panels, mounted to the roof. These hook up to a Yeti 1250 Solar Generator, which has built-in AC, DC and USB outlets, and 2x100aH Mighty Max deep cycle batteries.- C-Head composting toilet (discreetly installed in the back corner). It’s held in place with brackets and framing, but you can actually remove the entire unit as one piece- 2 way Fantastic Fan vent right above kitchen- Kitchen is built right above an aluminum enclosure that vents to the outside. This conveniently holds the freshwater and greywater tanks as well as a propane tank, with space above the enclosure for kitchen storage. I installed an airtight port to allow you to open/close the valve on the propane tank without leaving the van. Running water via a Whale Marine foot pump, propane routes to a 2 burner Coleman stove and I also have a Mr. Buddy heater for the chilly nights.- Well-insulated, with 1-2” polyiso in the walls, fiberglass in the doors, gaps sealed with expanding foam, and Reflectix panels for the windows. There is an insulating curtain behind the partition. They are dark blue in the pics but I’ve since lined them with burlap so it looks a little nicer. With the panels in the back windows it can stay pretty cozy in there on cold nights (and cool during the day if it’s hot out!)- Jimmi Jammer lock plates AND Deadbolt Van Locks installed in both doors. The locks are impossible to pick, and you can activate the deadbolts with a key fob which makes it impossible to open the doors anyway. There is also a metal partition between the living space and the cab, with a swinging door which can be padlocked when you are away from the van. This door allows you to go from the back to the cab without leaving the van. Extremely secure and great for peace of mind.- Lots, and I mean lots of storage space + hooks for hanging stuff. The top panel of one of my shelves converts into a desk you can use while sitting on the bed. There are also brackets on the outside which I’ve used to transport my surfboard around (using ratchet straps on the travel bag).- 1/4 inch cedar paneling on the inside- Slide out couch/bed with a 4” memory foam pad- 8'4" soft top longboard- Brackets for hanging a hammock diagonally (also included). This van can sleep two, possibly three (I’ve never tried with three unless you include a dog)RecommandationsI originally drove from New York to the West Coast. This van has been through Utah, Colorado, Nevada, down to Baja, Mexico and all over California, from San Diego and Joshua Tree to Yosemite and the Bay Area, then back across the Southwest, Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi up through the Appalachian mountains back to New England!Autres points à signalerNo smoking of cigarettes inside the van. Propane tank needs to be turned off first, then the appliance (whether you are using the cooktop or the heater). This is to burn off any propane in the hose. The ceiling vent should also be open when using propane appliances. Please use the deadbolt locks on the keyfob when leaving the van for any length of time.Currently there is a slide-out bed that is between twin and double size. Would work for two smaller people but a bit cramped. When sleeping two I usually have one person on the bed and another in the hammock. I may modify the van to have a larger sleeping area. Small dogs welcome, but bigger dogs likely will not have enough room.My insurance only allows me to rent out the van 4x a year, so I am giving priority to longer bookings. Thanks for understanding!
