2021 Sonic Lite - Small but Mighty

Josh was kind. The RV was easy to haul and set up. This is a very decent rental for newbie RVers who don't have any camping items of their own (chairs, mats, games, DVDs, coffee maker, etc) or if they have pets or small children. We only had two main problems with the coach. One, it was too dusty and dirty. It really needs a deep cleaning. As soon as we set up camp, we had to sweep the floors before we could load in our belongings (see photo). The RV is stored outside in the elements in Ag country. Which probably accounts for all the dust and dirt. There was also animal fur throughout the windows, blinds, and cracks within the coach. And because of this, we could not run the central heat as it picked up the dust and animal dander that made my asthma worse. Luckily, Josh had an electric heater in the rig, which provided much-needed heat in the night. Two, the coach had too many of the owner's personal effects in the RV. This made our stay very cramped as we prefer to bring our own chairs, mats, bedding, coffee, and food. There was no room to put our personal items in storage throughout the camper, with the exception of a small closet for clothes. This is not the ideal layout if you can't store most of your things in the hidden compartments, it's too small, even for two people camping for a week. We really only needed the following items to accompany the RV, most of which were included: Toilet Paper, leveling blocks, pots, pans, cookware, paper towels, cups, mugs, soap, sponges, and a bucket. We could have used more pots and pans for cooking, as there was only one small metal pan to boil water as well as a bucket for washing dishes at the camp ground. I wish Josh had spent more time going over the mechanical components of the coach when we picked it up, such as how to turn on the heat and how to read the tank gauges. We learned that the tank gauges will not come on, unless the rig is fully connected to power, they are not responsive when the battery alone is on when you are dumping the tanks. And the gauges are not very accurate. When the tanks are empty, it will say 1/3 full. This coach is better suited for full-hook-up use. The campsite we went to was Pismo Oceano State Park, where we had electricity and water only. We enjoyed the smores kit that was included. It was a very nice touch. We felt we got what we paid for and ultimately had a good time. Probably not the best coach if you are an avid RVer or camper and prefer to supply your own camping/RV items. Josh was very responsive via text and even offered to dump our tanks halfway through our vacation. He is very kind and easy-going.

Josh was great when I picked up the trailer very accommodating and friendly. He actually loaned me a receiver that worked better for my condition. However I wish I had tried out the queen size bed as it was a very thin cushion and was not very comfortable. I would’ve brought an air mattress if I realized how small it was. Also, this is probably on me, but the water tank was empty. That would’ve been good to know.

Great camper for the three of us. Awesome to find the camp carpet and chairs available for lounging under the canopy. Easy setup and easy to pull. Josh and Cindee were great people, and were helpful walking us through setup when we picked up. Overall, made for a perfect weekend.

Perfect rental for our family of 5! Josh and Cindee were great to work with and stocked the trailer with all the basics and some. They had everything prepped and ready for us to take off and enjoy our time in the outdoors. Pick up and drop off were super easy. They were very communicative and went above and beyond. 5/5…looking forward to renting it again next year!
