Responsibilities of Renters and Drivers:While our fleet comes properly equipped, we advise you to use your best judgment and only travel in driving conditions that do not exceed the capability of the driver and vehicle. We are confident you will treat our Camp Rigs and/or Camp Wagons like they're your own and that you would protect the vehicle against inclement weather and other road hazards. As a renter you are required to follow any and all instructions, recommendations, and cautions of Idaho Overland Adventures, LLC at all times during the rental, including, without limitation, in respect of the operation of any vehicle/trailer and/or equipment. Comply with all placards on and in the vehicle, trailer and included equipment. Failure to do so may cause harm, injury or death to you and/or others. Vehicle may become unstable if driven at high speeds. All authorized drivers acknowledge they must use their best judgment, drive safely, and anticipate breaking and turns.In regards to trailer rental, per the Idaho Dept. of Transportation; the use of trailer brakes is recommended while towing a trailers with an unloaded weight of 1,500 lbs. or more when operated upon a highway shall be equipped with an independent braking system to control the movement of and to stop and hold the vehicle and be designed to be applied by the driver of the towing motor vehicle from its cab.Other Considerations:
- At no point during the rental period may the vehicle be driven or taken outside the United States.
- DO NOT drive the vehicle or trailers with its equipment unsecured or exposed.
- DO NOT drive the vehicle or trailers through a car wash.
- DO NOT drive in or through a structure of an underpass, gas station, drive-through, or other object where there is insufficient clearance.
- Our Camp Rigs are NOT allowed to have anything towed behind them.
- Pets permitted only with prior written request by Renter and approval by Idaho Overland Adventures LLC. Pets must be restrained or
crated during transport.Primary Renter/Authorized Driver(s) acknowledge and agree that a driver must:
(1) be 25 years of age, (2) hold a valid driver’s license that is neither suspended or
revoked, (3) possess insurance that covers the rented vehicle or have purchased an
insurance package through us, (4) be listed as an Authorized Driver on this Agreement, and
(5) not have had a DUI, DWI, DWAI or a “Wet and Reckless” in the past 36 months.
Furthermore, we will not rent to repeat DUI offenders who are required to use a
portable Breathalyzer.The Overlanders Oath:
As an Overlander, I promise to do my part;
To be safe and respectful, to use my head and my heart.
I promise to Leave No Trace and to always Tread Lightly!
To be mindful of this commitment, daily and nightly.
I vow to minimize the impact I have on the outdoors,
To clean up more than just my mess when I go out to explore.

Childs Car Seat

As a convenience to parents we can provide a car seat for your child for a onetime fee. Car seats are age, size and weight specific so it is the renters responsibility to provide us with actual age/height/weight in order for Idaho Overland Adventures to provide the proper car seat. It is the parent or guardian's responsibility to ensure that the car seat is installed properly, and safely fits child per Department of Transportation requirements.

I had a great time doing some crisp, fall camping up in the Sawtooths. I loved this vehicle and felt safe driving it, especially with the Garmin navigation system. The rooftop tent is a really cool experience, and pretty easy to put up and down - about a 30 min process for me as a first-timer. It would be easier with two people, but I was totally able to do it myself (thanks to Joe's helpful hints!). I was camping in colder weather (20 degrees at night) and felt a little chilly alone in the tent at first, but the zero degree sleeping bag warmed me right up. Note: It is always warmer with more than one person in a tent. Moral of the story is, this is definitely doable for one person with a moderate amount of camping experience, but probably easier with two! Joe and Brianne were so lovely to work with, and showed me everything I needed to know before setting out on my adventure. I felt fully equipped and confident with the support of Joe and Brianne. They genuinely cared about my safety and I knew I could contact them if I ever needed assistance. Thank you for making this trip possible for me, Idaho Overland Adventures!

I recently rented 'Ruby' for a two week road trip around the SE corner of Oregon. My plans included a combination of camping as well as some very basic and rustic lodging. The rig and set up were perfect for my needs, giving me the flexibility to have food, water, and lodging with me at all times, wherever I might end up for the night. I am older and retired, and found great confidence in renting from an organization run by a former commercial airlines pilot; Joe seems to be super organized and very serious about safety and maintenance. This gave me much comfort during my travels; the rig was very dependable and convenient. Even if I was in a motel for the night, I still ended up using the galley for meals and other needs. I highly recommend Idaho Overland Adventures, and Joe and Brianne!
