Bertha the Camper Van- Your Ticket to Yellowstone National Park!

Love the use of the paddleboard. All of the utensils and pots and pans perfect for two people. No mechanical issues we had a blast.

Overall we enjoyed our time in the van. It's old and has its quirks but was perfect for what we needed. It was odd the host said pickup and drop off wouldn't require her to be there but she showed up for both. The listing also had an old address which resulted in us getting in an uber heading toward the wrong location and her getting frustrated when I asked for a map or pin for its correct spot because her directions were unclear for us as out of towners. I felt like something was off and she was definitely going to try to charge us extra. We treated it as our own and spent 2 hours cleaning before we returned it knowing Kelsey had another rental right after we returned. I would have given it a 4 star rating but within hours of returning the vehicle she notified us that she was filing a claim because the driver window button was "hyper extended" even though it still worked to roll the window up and down and she claims it wasn't like that previously. I can't say whether it was or wasn't, but the fact that its an 18 year old vehicle tells me there no way we single handedly broke it and this 100% falls under wear and tear when you're renting it to multiple people. I took extensive photos and videos at pick up as I always do with rentals, but surely didn't think to test every knob and button and document their functionality. There is no way to prove it wasn't hyperextended before we rented it. I'm unclear how the cost is determined but Outdoorsy withheld $328 from our security deposit without even contacting me during the investigation. Not impressed with Kelsey or this platform's handling of the claim.

RV was exactly as promised. Gas mileage was great. Kelsey was super easy to work with and her communication was outstanding.

Big Bertha was amazing & just the right size for our roadtrip needs! I was pleasantly surprised with all the extra little things in the van that I did not expect. For example camping chair, extra blankets, basic toiletries, & basic cooking items! Big Bertha is def a bang for your buck, she got the job done! I would 1000% rent from Kelsey again, she was responsive and so sweet, she took the time to show me around the van when I was picking it up! Thank you so much & I hope to be able to go out to Wyoming again traveling in Big Bertha. She is a rustic experience for sure with a lot of character but who doesn’t love some rust, it makes the journey more exciting!

It was simple to pick Bertha up, Kelsey was a gracious and accommodating host! Bertha is one solid rig! I had everything I needed for the week traveling through Yellowstone and would do it again in a heart beat! The cost for the week was very reasonable. I recommend this rental very highly!
