Amazing host Josie! I had some doubts because of one negative review, but I decided to try it myself. I rented this motorhome for a whole week, and it was absolutely the right decision. It’s very important to do a proper driving test beforehand — I passed it successfully and was able to safely drive throughout the entire trip. Josie showed and explained absolutely all the details and nuances of operating this RV. I received it in excellent, clean, and perfectly maintained condition. During the trip, my team used it with great care and love, and we were all very happy with our journey. We also shared some ideas with Josie on how this motorhome could be improved in the future. Josie was incredibly friendly and accommodating — she even adjusted to our late arrival time. Thank you, Josie and your mom, for this amazing trip! We are very happy and grateful. Our experience was amazing! Josie is a wonderful and friendly hostess. She was thorough while walking us through the setup process. She was communicative and responsive as well. We really enjoyed using the RV and were very comfortable. The amenities were great. I highly recommend the RV and would book it again.

WARNING: Scammy Host & Unsafe Pickup – Avoid This RV at All Costs This was hands down the worst rental experience I’ve ever had — and I’ve rented plenty of RVs. If you value your time, sanity, and wallet, stay far away from this listing. The moment I picked up the RV, the owner insisted I drive them back to their home — through extremely narrow, winding canyon roads in Santa Clarita (Hazley Canyon and similar backroads) that are completely inappropriate for large RVs. Instead of meeting at a safe, neutral pickup location like most responsible hosts, they had me navigate tight roads lined with overhanging branches. Not even 300 feet from their house, we barely brushed a leafy tree branch — no fruit, no breakage, just leaves — and the RV suffered a tiny scratch on the awning and a small scuff on the passenger side. We’re talking cosmetic marks that could be buffed out for $100-200 max. Despite this, the host tried to hit me with outrageous charges: • 50% of the cost of a brand-new awning for a scratch that’s barely noticeable. • $1,000 to buff a light scuff — something my detail guy could handle in under an hour for $100. But it gets worse… The TV inside the RV rattled like crazy the entire time — loud, obnoxious, and clearly not secure. I never even used the TV, yet they still tried to blame me for a disconnected cable wire upon return. And just to top it all off, the owner actually told me that Outdoorsy takes 50% of their cut, so they “need to make it up somehow.” That alone should be a red flag. It felt like they were looking for excuses to tack on charges from the start. This whole situation felt like a setup — from the unsafe pickup route, to the exaggerated damage claims, to the shady justification for nickel-and-diming renters. Outdoorsy really needs to review this host’s behavior if they want to keep their reputation intact. Avoid this rental like the plague. There are plenty of honest, professional RV owners out there — this just isn’t one of them.
