The Airstream had everything needed, including comfy bedding and chairs. Its propex heating kept guests warm in cold 20°F weather, making it very comfortable and suitable for dry camping.

5.0We had a great time and the trailer had everything we needed. It performed well and was very nice to have in cold weather. While the aluminum is cold to the touch the propex heating kept us warm when a few nights hit the 20's. We had no problems and were always warm and comfortable. The hosts were great. They were there for pickup and drop off without issue. They communicated well and were prompt to respond to text while we were on the trip and had follow up questions. We would not hesitate to rent from them again and will definitely keep them on our list for next year....

How good is the air conditioner/heater?
R.
First, the AC MUST have an electric hook-up to run. The AC can generally cool it down about 10 degrees from the outside temperature. The heater is good and has kept us toasty even when the temperature was near freezing. But in both cases, mileage may vary on other conditions including how much you open and close the door, cloud/ shade cover, precipitation, etc.

Can I tow it with my truck?
R.
I don't know :) Please look up your truck's exact specifications on manufacturers website (pay close attention to the trim level!). The trailer is about 5000lbs fully loaded, but make sure you can tow at least 6000lbs if you are towing the mountains (lower oxygen levels in the air lowers the towing capacity).

Can you boondock in it? How is it powered?
R.
Yes! Most electrical (lights, refrigerator water pump, etc) is powered through a lithium ion battery that is charged through solar panels. If you are using a lot of power or you are boondocked in a shady area or it is a cloudy day, the battery can be charged through the electrical hook-up to the truck. Heat and hot water are run off propane (two 20lb tanks). You may need to refill the tanks every few days if you run it a lot. Microwave and AC MUST have an electric hook-up!

How clean does it have to be when I return it to avoid the additional cleaning fee?
R.
We thoroughly clean between rentals. However, last summer we had two separate incidents of renters apparently not knowing how a toilet works. We are just a family of two working adults with two small children (we have cleaned up enough poop) that just want to meet good people and to make a nice camper accessible to similar families. We just don't want to clean up your poop :)
