One of the best ways to see our beautiful state is from behind the wheel of an RV. Big Betty is ready to take you on an adventure to see all Alaska has to offer! This 32' rig comes equipped with seating for 6 and enough beds to sleep as many (plus a blow up mattress that will accommodate an additional 2 guests) - and we'll provide all the bedding and linen you need.On a budget and want to save on take out? There is a full kitchen that includes a spacious fridge/freezer, a 3 burner stove, a microwave and double sink. We'll even include a small coffee maker, kettle, and a few pots and pans to make all your meals from the comfort of your home on wheels.The master bedroom offers privacy with the option for incredible views with three windows that have two tiers of blinds (privacy and black out for those long Alaskan summer days).
The dinette is cozy, but sleeps two adults comfortably and is our kid's favorite sleeping spot when we take weekend trips. The three person sofa folds out to a comfortable bed for two.Equipped with two TVs, you can keep yourself entertained even on rainy days. We have an assortment of family friendly DVDs to choose from for those days when you're camped away from the wifi.With a large freshwater tank and an on board generator - you can leave civilization behind and journey where your heart desires! RecommandationsOur family loves Valdez and we always try to stay at Eagle's Rest RV and campground. If you time your trip right, you can get your fishing license and fish for salmon. The hatchery is across the bay and the salmon are so numerous you feel like you could walk across their backs out to the sea!The Homer spit is a sight to see, and we really enjoyed camping at the Heritage RV Park. Check out one of the many halibut charters while you're there, after all, Homer is the halibut capital of the world!
On your way back to Anchorage, don't forget to stop by the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center and see the resident bears, moose, bison, and more! We like it so much we got a season pass for our family.Denali Park is a bucket list for many folks, and offers spectacular views of the mountain in addition to tons of wildlife.Seward is a great place to see the sea life Alaska has to offer, and there are plenty of cruises ranging from a few hours to full day adventures. I highly recommend the Kenai Fjords cruise - last trip we saw humpback, fin, and orca whales in addition to black bears, mountain goats, sea lions, sea otters, and more - plus you get up close and personal with a tidal glacier and the crew fishes out some of the broken ice and allow guests to touch the ice!
