Towing a trailer is easy when you follow a few important safety guidelines. Please review these rules before your trip so you can tow confidently and safely.
1. Tow Vehicle Requirements
Your vehicle must be rated to tow at least 2,300 lbs (the camper’s GVWR).
A 7‑pin connector is required
Electric brake controller recommended for best braking performance.
2. Safe Driving Practices
Do a full walk‑around before departing and at every stop to check tires, hitch, chains, and connections.
Drive slower than normal — keep speeds around 55–65 mph.
Allow extra stopping distance.
Take turns wide and slow.
Avoid sudden lane changes or sharp steering.
Use tow/haul mode if your vehicle has it.
3. Weight & Loading
Do not overload the camper.
Keep heavy items low and centered.
Secure all loose items before towing.
4. Hitching & Unhitching
Ensure the coupler is fully seated on the ball.
Cross safety chains under the tongue.
