This FJ Cruiser is a purpose-built adventure rig, ready to take you places most rentals can’t. With a lift kit, 4x4, and 33-inch wheels, you’ll have the freedom to explore the Big Island’s hidden gems—while still enjoying a clean, good-condition interior that’s perfect for adventuring.It comes equipped with a Freespirit Recreation A-Frame rooftop tent and comfortable mattress that sleeps two adults (plus a small child if needed). The vehicle seats five, making it ideal for couples, friends, or families.Upon booking, you’ll receive my custom guide with favorite local spots, hikes, farmers markets, and campgrounds—including options that don’t require heavy 4x4 driving.
Please only book if you’re comfortable using 4WD or plan to stick to regular driving. This rig is for responsible adventuring, not off-road abuse. For Makalawena and other extreme off-road spots, please book a Jeep directly.
Maintenance Note:
The brakes were inspected by a mechanic on September 5. The pads are at about 70% and safe to drive, though the rotors will eventually need replacement with brake pads together they said in about 6 months, which may cause some squeaking along with morning condensation.
