Head to Pahoa for Sunday nude beach and drum circles. Volcano national park to see the volcano. Visit Kamana Caves near Hilo where you can hike for hours into the earth down a lava tube. Visit the botanical gardens just north of Hilo. See Akaka falls, Kolekole beach park. Hike Waipio Valley. Visit the cute little town of Hawi at the northern tip of the island. Kapaa State park is a great place to camp, snorkel and whale watch during the winter months. Mahukona is an old harbor that has excellent snorkeling and a huge anchor just out from shore. Be careful of strong currents here though. Tons of beautiful reef fish. Next stop is Puako another good place to camp and snorkel. I have a map in the van on the counter that shows all this and much much more. 5The best camper van we ever had! The facilities are outstanding (hot shower, stove, refrigerator, multimedia box etc..), awesome design, and Dug the owner was super! Showed us great places to check out in the island and was very friendly and kind! If you think about travelling the Big Island - that’s THE BEST way to do it.

5Dug was great. Super helpful with camping tips, recommendations, and all around good vibes. The van is top notch and full of the perfect touches. The hot shower was epic! We loved every minute of our time with the van ill be renting from Dug again on my next trip. Mahalo

5We loved this van, it was great! We have done all kinds of camping and this was one of our favorite experiences. The flexibility to pick up and go while keeping all of our gear accessible was awesome! The hot shower right on the beach made others jealous. The stove on the door worked great. The bed was very comfortable. The storage and stowaway was well thought out and well designed. Having an indoor sink was very convenient. Refrigerator/Cooler was sufficient for our needs. Dug's magnetic mosquito netting system was clutch in a few settings; allowing us to sleep with the van doors open without being eaten alive by mosquitos. The van drove great. Engine has been well maintained. The van itself has a lower profile than other sprinter type tall camper vans, which gives it an ability to blend in, and to be less obvious that we were tourists. It also has a greater ground clearance than those other vans which gave us a wider range of adventure. Dug is super friendly. He is dedicated to designing an awesome product and making your adventures happen. We would highly recommend this experience, and will rent this van again next time we are on Big Island.
