We rented this Bronco Sport for a 3-week national parks adventure which was so fun, but the rental experience was very mixed. On the positive side, the vehicle handled our itinerary fine and the host was understanding when a couple of small kitchen items broke. But there were some key mechanical and communication issues. The check in process was frustrating. The video tutorial didn’t work and there were no pickup instructions sent, which resulted in us waiting for a while outside the car for a message back from the host. We could’ve used some instructions for drop off too. But the biggest things were mechanical — halfway through the trip, the brakes started grinding loudly during standard braking. It was especially anxiety-inducing when we were on winding roads or driving downhill. There was also a recurring “charging system service soon” warning light. The host said the brakes were inspected after our trip and are fine, but to us it seems like a safety concern. All in all the Bronco is fun for an adventure, but double-check the mechanical stuff before you set off.

Li was an amazing host. The camper was perfect for the two of us. Had everything we needed for sleeping and cooking. One of the nights was cold, crazy wind, and rain but we stayed cozy and dry in the poptop!
