easy to use rv

Overall a subpar at best experience. Had to change to pickup instead of delivery which was an additional $70 in Uber each way. No adults present at pickup, signed paperwork with a 7-8y/o girl who didn’t tell us a single thing. Fridge is completely broken and spoiled 200$+ of food. Generator was hit or miss at best. Owner never responded to a single message after pickup. Would never rent from him again. Rent at your own risk

Larry was very accommodating and helpful! We had a last minute rental and he worked with us to have the RV ready quickly. The engine was strong and took us where we needed to go—we had a fantastic trip!

Good: * RV was in good condition and had all of the hookups and connections we needed * I can't speak to the generator since we were plugged in to power, but most of the appliances worked fine * There must have been a deep cleaning because the fridge and freezer no longer smelled of dead fish * Fairly easy pickup process * Larry moved our pickup time earlier in the day at our request Bad: * Communication was terrible. This was my first time using Outdoorsy and the owner was so slow to respond that I had to call Outdoorsy to give them a kick in the pants and respond to my messages. Even after that, they were very slow to respond to most of my questions, and didn't respond to some of them at all. * The water heater didn't work. Luckily we were at a KOA which had a source of hot water but it was still annoying that we couldn't wash our hands with hot water * The listed owner was not present at pickup or drop-off. Not sure if this is normal or not, but I was never told that the owner would not be there so it seemed a little sketchy Overall it was a solid rental but the lack of communication added a lot of unnecessary stress to the beginning of our trip.

1. Terrible communication 2. the freezer and rv reeked of dead fish 3. the generator failed = no AC in 95 degree weather 4. the refrigerator failed causing our food to spoil 5. No refund given for failures l am a firefighter and my wife is a teacher and are ethical people. We do not have overly high expectations and are not trying to cheat anyone. We just expect the service/merchandise to be consistent with agreements and whats advertised and this was by far not the case. My wife and I were celebrating our 20yr anniversary and had a lot of time and money invested in airfare, childcare, time off work, concert tickets, et. We were flying in and renting Larry’s RV for 2-nights and we had a tight schedule to make things work (all things communicated multiple times to Larry). Because of the poor service and malfunctioning RV it made our short anniversary trip a nightmare at times, we missed 2hrs of our concert, and we had to spend extra money and time on wasted food.
