Meet Wilfred - your vacation home on wheels! Like a big 'ol snail, Wilf carries the amenities of home in her beautiful shell. This high roof Transit has been custom-built with love, for ease of adventure and comfort on the road. With a high roof and queen size bed, Wilfred is a very comfortable stay for folks up to 6'4"! Created for off-grid adventures, 300 watts of solar fuels the power station - keeping the fridge and ceiling fan going and your devices charged. The kitchen has a great prep area, with an ample counter, storage space and beautiful, deep kitchen sink (off-grid, foot-pump operated and easy to use!). An extra-large awning keeps rain or sun at bay, providing 60+ sq ft of extra covered space outside.Wilfred doesn't disappoint with storage space either: a full truck bed of storage under the bed, ample fridge and freezer space, and lots of other shelves and bench seats for dry goods, clothes, shoes, and whatever else you want to bring! Part of Wilfred's beauty is in the details: modern, clean aesthetic with a little bit of nature and whimsy. Wilfred is insulated with Havelock wool and has custom privacy curtains on all windows- you'll sleep like a baby in this space! Missoula is a fantastic destination for your summer vacation, perfectly situated between the Mission Mountains and the Bitterroot Mountains, 2.5 hours from Glacier National Park and 4 hours from Yellowstone NP, you can't get any more central to the beauty of the mountains than this.Last year we lived in Wilfred full time for 6 months, traveling all across the American West. While in Montana we visited Glacier NP and stayed comfortably at campgrounds inside and outside the park, as well as off grid in National Forest sites across western Montana. If you have any questions about this side of the state, we would love to help you on your vacation planning- feel free to reach out! - Cooking on the Coleman stove is allowed OUTSIDE only. Prep can be done easily in the indoor kitchen area, but all cooking must be outside on the provided camp table (or picnic table if you're at a campsite).
- Wilfred is REAR WHEEL DRIVE, please take note when accessing backcountry roads and in adverse weather
- Wilfred is 11 FEET TALL and has a lot of important stuff on top! Take note when driving under things like trees and low clearance situations.
- Wilfred is 22 FEET LONG - it fits in a regular parking spot like a long-bed pickup truck
- NOTE: YOU CANNOT drive this vehicle across the Going to the Sun Road in Glacier National Park due to height and length restrictions (we recommend taking the shuttles for environmental purposes anyway :)
- The bed is taller than your normal bed, but we have included a step stool to help you along the way.- Cleaning policy: we do all laundry and sanitizing, you clean to as you found it for no charges. If we have to clean to look as you found it condition, rate is $50/hr.- Gas policy: Gasoline tank leaves full and must be returned full, or the charge is $5/gallon to fill.- Bear spray policy: We provide 1 can of bear spray in the vehicle. If this can is not returned full, you will be charged $60 for a replacement can.

In 2020 we found ourselves unable to travel internationally, so we built our beautiful Wilfred and lived in it for 6 months- exploring all over Oregon, Washington, California and Montana. Wilfred is a 2019 Ford Transit, an all-around stylish and hella comfortable camping and traveling vehicle. Right now we're living and working in Missoula, Montana, and in our spare time we love to cook, hike, camp and do basically anything outside.
