Vandy isn't like the usual RV or Winnebago mass-produced camper van. I built out my van custom to live in it full time. I wanted to live more minimalist and simplify everything. Vandy doesn't have hookups for electrical and water, there's no black water tank, no messy+stinky dumping or being tied to crowded and loud RV parks and campgrounds. The batteries charge off solar power and water runs from a surprisingly convenient set of water jugs. You can fill up without having to find the perfect spigot that fits your hose. The Laveo dry flush toilet flushes with a button and is easy to empty with no smell or contact with anything unsightly. Perfect for anyone new to RVs or trailers. After living in Vandy for a year, I have decided with teary eyes to let some strangers try out Vanlife while I attempt to hike the 3000+ mile Continental Divide Trail across the entire US. Of course I have already spent a year working out all the kinks, so you wont get the full experience.Well insulated and heated, this van has no problem keeping you cozy no matter how cold out. Vandy is made for couples looking for the perfect instagram photos. Bake brownies in the oven while you watch Netflix under the sparkling fairy lights. I never get sick of stepping into my rustic little home after hiking through the most scenic places in Utah.Ce qui est inclusVandy has basically everything you need to boondock completely off-grid indefinitely.Kitchen:
- Running water and sink (not heated)
- 2 burner propane stove
- Propane oven
- Cookware - Plates, bowls, pots, pans, mugs, utensils

- Set to freezer mode (with small fridge section)
- or fridge mode (entirely fridge)
Bed:
- Extends out to be just smaller than a full. (45 in. wide)
- Sheets, comforter, pillows (no charge)
- Full set of towels (no charge)
Bathroom
- Laveo dry flush toilet, No black water to empty.
Storage:
- The bed is high enough to store a bike or two underneath (or skis, fishing poles, etc)
- Tons of overhead cabinet space
- Closet to hang all your clothes
Insulated
- Including blackout windows and curtains
Electrical
- 280 aH Lithium battery
- Charge using solar panels
- Charge while driving around
- 120v wall sockets (2000w inverter)
Extras (no charge)
- Small camp chairs
- Jumper cables
- Shovel+traction device just in case
RecommandationsThis is the perfect adventure rig for ski trips and exploring Utah's five incredible National Parks in the offseason (the BEST time of year to see them). Explore the Uintas, go mountain biking in Moab, or even roadtrip to the Grand Canyon. I have driven Vandy as far as Southern California and the Sawtooths in Idaho. It did great on the hill climbs and mountain passes of Death Valley. Let me know if you are headed somewhere local because I might know of some good boondocking sites. I'll give you the scoop on the closest free campsite near Bryce Canyon, BLM land just outside Arches, and the best backpacking loops in Capitol Reef.Autres points à signalerWhile the van can generally handle some gravel or dirt roads where some high clearance may be required, it is of course only 2WD so don't try to go anywhere too crazy with it. In my experience the biggest risk of getting stuck is mud and snow on roads that look well graded.
Smoking is not allowed in the van. Please fill the fuel tank and clean up after your trip.

Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
R.
I am generally around all day, especially when expecting pickup/dropoff. Keep me updated with any delays and I can usually make it work. Almost every rental I've had so far has had a schedule change at some point.
Q.Are there any special tricks and tips that would help with operating the RV easily?
R.
If you are concerned about driving a large van, the biggest difference is really just the height. The high roof may require you to slow down a bit more when turning and don't forget to watch for low hanging branches. Take dips perpendicular to prevent the side to side rocking. be patient when backing and don't be afraid to hop out and check behind you often.
Q.Can I pickup the van and drop it off somewhere else? (different city or state)
R.
Feel free to let me know any potential plans and I can try to help, but these requests are often difficult. You would have to cover the cost of my travel to the destination as well as driving back, fuel cost, etc. It probably makes more sense to take an extra day to drive back and fly out of Salt Lake.
