Derek is super responsive, provides excellent walk-throughs, and goes above and beyond to explain functions and ensure smooth pick-up/drop-off, making trips easier.

Many found it easy to tow, well-stocked, and user-friendly for families/off-grid, including special touches. However, one recent rental faced a tire blowout, cleanliness issues, and unreliable generator/Bluetooth app.

2.0⭐☆☆☆☆ This was our first time using Outdoorsy, and unfortunately, it was not a positive experience. The biggest issue was the reliability of the trailer. About halfway to our destination, we experienced a tire blowout. What should have been a 2.5-hour drive turned into a 9-hour ordeal before we finally arrived. It was extremely stressful and put a damper on our family camping trip from the start. The trailer was also not as clean as we expected when we picked it up. In fact, we returned it cleaner than we received it. In addition, we had issues with both the generator and the Bluetooth leveling app, which were unreliable and added to the frustration throughout the trip. Overall, the condition and performance of the trailer did not meet our expectations. Given the tire failure, cleanliness concerns, and equipment issues, paying full price for this rental does not feel justified. We expected a safe, clean, and fully functional trailer, and unfortunately, that was not the experience we received. As first-time renters, this experience was disappointing and makes it difficult for us to confidently recommend this rental to others.

What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
R.
We are usually very flexible and accommodate your schedule to the best of our abilities.

Are there any special tricks and tips that would help with operating the RV easily?
R.
We have several YouTube videos walking through the operation of the RV that we can provide upon request and we also answer any questions during pickup.
Q.
How do the electric, water and sewage hook up work while setting up at the campground?
R.
If you are camping in a spot that provides RV hookups, then all you need is to hookup to the electric and water connections, and sewer if desired (this can be handled differently). If camping at a location without hookups, then we advise adding on the solar panels at a minimum for electric. If sun exposure is limited or it is expected to get really hot, we advise adding on the generator. The onboard water tank should last up to 3 days depending on usage.

What equipment do I need to tow the RV?
R.
At a minimum you need a 7-pin connector. We also highly advise a trailer brake controller be installed in your tow vehicle, especially if your vehicle is mid-sized. This is required to for the trailer brakes to operate. Wireless controllers are available (Curt makes one).
