Around here, there are a lot of lakes, Barkeville an old gold rush town, ranches, rivers, Fort St James the original capital of New Caledonia. East you can drive into the Rockies to see the highest peak at Mt Robson and onto Jasper. If you go west you will head through the quaint town of Smithers and onto Prince Rupert on the coast.
