This Escapod was a spare no expense, however, it has not been used to the fullest. The trailer is equiped with 2 180 awnings, a iKamper mini for extra sleeping, queen sized mattress in the actual trailer, and is geared with independent suspension so you can get anywhere you need to.It has a fully actuating hitch if needed, but can fit on a 2.5" receiver. The vehicle has solar power to keep you running, and when fully charged, can run AC for days.There's plenty of storage in the tongue box, which houses the propane that feeds into the water heater, kitchen, and heater. The interior has storage for all your clothes for a weekend excursion, and also has additional storage at the head of the bed.This isn't a vehicle you need to baby when going on dirt roads. Get where you need to, enjoy the stay, and leave no trace.

Communicative, accommodating, but sometimes cancels

Eugene communicates fast and frequently, and is accommodating with pickup/drop-off times. However, multiple bookings have been canceled on short notice, some even on the day of departure.

Easy to tow, requires upkeep

The Escapod is easy to tow with SUVs and roomy inside. However, one unit was low on water, smelled of propane, had a broken awning zipper, and needed TLC. It requires a specific high-rise hitch and familiarity with its nuanced features.

My family had a blast trying out the Escapod. It was clean and easy to tow with my Kia Telluride. We are considering getting a trailer and this experience helped us get a feel for different features.

First time renting with Outdoorsy and first time with an Escapod.. Great all around! Easy to tow, durable and quite roomy inside. We loved it!

Really appreciated the camper and host experience. Camper came mostly as described — a bit low on water and propane was left on so left the camper a bit smelly. Zipper was broken on awning so couldn’t open it. Unit definitely needs some TLC — but Eugene was an accommodating and kind host, so that went a long way!
