Scout is a wonderfully cozy van with great features and excellent use of space. It’s not too big, so it’s easy to drive. It has everything you need and nothing you don’t. It’s set-up perfectly for two with a very cozy bed. In fact the bed has a motorized lift so that you can sit up in bed and watch the view out the back. It’s super cool! And Scout has magnetic curtain panels for the rear windows and a hanging curtain to separate the front cabin from the bed, so you'll have plenty of privacy at night.Storage nooks throughout the van mean you have space to store your things, and the roof box luggage compartment keeps things out of the way when you don’t need them. This van also has a mini fridge (solar powered), sink and stove.You won’t believe it til you see it so give Scout a try!Location: This van is located in Fairfax, about 40 minutes north of San Francisco.Mileage: 120/miles a day are included in the rental. Mileage overages charged at $0.35/mile.

Our vans are great on the highway in the 60-75mph range. Please do respect the speed limit and do not follow too closely behind vehicles. If you're driving a van over 9 ft, you’ll notice it handles differently than your car and taller vehicles tip easier than lower ones. Avoid fast maneuvers, sharp turns, driving fast on washboard roads & hard stops. Our taller vans are almost 7 ft in width and 18 ft in length. Please be careful when making turns so that you don't scrape the sides of the vehicle (TAKE WIDE TURNS). When driving downhill, you will notice the vans will automatically downshift to help relieve usage of the brakes.

We had a great experience with Out Van About. You did a great job and the camper was perfect! Well designed and comfy with everything we needed for a few days of camping. It was evident that a lot of time went into designing the camper. Liz was very good at responding to our enquires in a timely manner which made our rental experience seamless.
