"Ruby" A 1990 Automatic Volkswagen Vanagon Adventurewagen

This one one of my favorite rental experiences. Ruby the Van was meticulously set up and had all the creature confronts you need for a great camping experience. Pillows, blankets, towels, chairs and cookware. Just show up with your cloth and you're all set to go. That being said, it shows how caring the owners are with the experience. Ruby is a 30+ year old vehicle, and while its a nostalgic trip when you get in the drivers seat she also drives steady and reliably. Kudos to Bruce for his thought and detail on customizing the van. I want to thank Bruce and Sonya for there hospitality and friendliness. They added a lot to the experience. Bruce picked us up from the airport and took us to the van, explained all the details and was only a phone call away for any questions at any time. In these crazy times, these two where a breath of fresh air. Nice to find good people out there. Thank you so much for the experience. Tell Ruby we will be back.

Ruby the van was great! Exactly what we needed. Be aware that you have to be rather flexible to sleep on the top! Bruce was a great host, very through and great at explaining it all. And very responsive when we were having a minor issue.

Bruce was amazing from start to finish. This rental was just what I was looking for - a classic VW camper van experience. My brother and I enjoyed a night in Asheville and two nights in a campground in great Smoky Mountain national Park. The van was perfectly comfortable for two people and had all the necessary amenities and more. This van has been expertly customized and updated by Bruce. I will be renting again from Bruce. What an awesome adventure we had with Ruby the vibrant Vanagon! Bruce was so helpful and thought of every last detail, was willing to take the time to make sure we were completely comfortable with the setup before we headed out. As we drove away, we scratched thing after thing off our "Must Pack" list, since Bruce already had it all included! Ruby had so much personality and performed perfectly. With her new engine, she drove like a dream, but had all the character of a funky vanagon, not to mention all the comforts that made camping a breeze. We took her to the Nantahala national forest and set her up next to a gorgeous river. We had everything we needed and more. In fact, we loved Ruby so much that we are now looking for one of our own!
