Extremely responsive and accommodating
Mike provides immediate responses, thorough walkthroughs, flexibility for pickup/drop-off, and equips the van with essentials. He also proactively resolves issues.
Easy to drive and maneuverable
Guests consistently commend the van for being easy to drive, maneuver through towns, and fitting into regular parking spaces. It's clean, well-equipped for off-grid or hookup camping, and has a comfortable pop-up sleeper.

5.0Mike was super helpful and accommodating to our rescheduling and drop off times. We had a few questions during our trip and he responded immediately. This is my third camper van rental and I would say this one is a great middle ground to be able to take off grid if the weather is good (can be off-grid if just using lights and cooking with propane stove at night), while also equipped for campsite hookup camping. The van has black out curtains so felt safe when boondocking. We ended up not needing to hook up to shore power with the weather in the 60-70s and had the generator on backup but it never needed to turn on. We took her up the coast of maine, and she was super easy to drive and maneuver through towns. If more than 1 person, we'd recommend you use the pop up sleeper (requires a ladder but comfortable once up there). Mike equipped the van with everything we needed + more to make sure we were comfortable. Next time we're planning a camper van trip in the NE, we'll be reaching out again!

5.0Mike is an awesome host. He is always available for questions. The van is exactly as described, and it is apparent that everyone that rents this van takes care of it like their own. The interior is immaculate and all the features were super easy to use. We highly recommend renting from Mike.

5.0Our trip with Mike's RV was awesome. My wife and I have a 7 week old baby and zero experience driving RVs, so we thought a camper van would be the perfect way to learn about this lifestyle. Before getting the keys, Mike gave me a full rundown of the vehicle. Everything adverstised in the listing works great; the main control panel for the utilities is intuitive, and the water/electric hookups are pretty easy. Mike also provides linens, towels, pillows, kitchen essentials, various camping materials, and many other odds-and-ends. My wife, baby, and I drove from Boston to Lubec,ME and back, 940 miles total, in ~1 week. This van made it entirely possible, and a really fun way to spend time with a newborn. Some general notes about this camper van and our trip: -the van is super easy to drive and park. We stopped spontaneously along the road in several towns. -the back seats fit our baby seat perfectly. This allowed my wife to sit alongside him if he was fussy, and move up front when he calmed down. -the refrigerator is very big, at least for what I was expecting. -the sink is very convenient for handwashing and quick cleaning in between camp grounds (and goes into the gray water tank). -the indoor stove is good, but we only used it once. Weather permitting, just use the camp stove (which Mike can provide) outdoors. -the toilet/black water system is a standalone feature (no hookups), and we never used it. It's nice to have for an emergency, but when you have to carry the toilet sump outside to empty, it makes you think twice about an emergency bathroom visit. -finding restrooms, showers, and electrical/water hookups along coastal Maine was very easy. My wife and I often took two showers a day at the RV sites, and their water was usually SUPER hot. Also, when you aren't showering in the RV, the freshwater tank on this vehicle lasts a long time without refilling, so you don't NEED to find fresh water at every RV site. -temperatures inside the RV at night were very comfortable. In coastal Maine, with ~50F nights, we just vented the screen windows and allowed natural air to cool down the interior. We never needed to run the AC or heater overnight. -the popup bed on top is the largest sleeping surface. By the end of the trip, my wife and I were both sleeping up there together. The bed surface at the back of the van is also comfy, but we ended up needing it for storage space as we acquired souveniers and whatnot. -the big screen interface for the dashboard console was helpful for navigation on our journey. Take your time setting up your phone with the console - it might take you a few minutes to figure out how everything communicates. Everything about our trip and experience was fantastic. Mike was great, the van performed excellently, coastal Maine was gorgeous, the people of Maine were delightful, and we made it home safely.

Foire aux questions
Q.
What time can I pick up/drop off the van?
R.
Typically pickup is after 2pm and dropoff is before noon, but we can work around the renter's schedule if there are no other bookings.
Q.
What about tolls?
R.
The renter is responsible for any tolls, we have an EZ Pass that may be used but the cost of any tolls during your rental period will be deducted from the deposit.
Q.
How to Become a Verified Driver?
R.
Outdoorsy works hard to ensure that all members are safe, insured, and qualified to drive. Becoming a Verified Driver is a required step to protect yourself and the vehicle you are renting Outdoorsy. https://www.outdoorsy.com/help/how-to-become-a-verified-driver
Q.
Is there a cost for running the generator?
R.
Yes and No. 4 hours per day are included in the price. After the 4 hours per day, the generator charge is $3.50 per hour as determined by an installed running time meter. You can save on this expense by staying in locations with electrical hookups and not leaving the generator running when you are not in the vehicle.
