Totally rebuilt vintage 77 Toyota MicroMini! I finished the rebuild in 2020, chassis to roof. The mighty 4-cylinder gas engine and Manual 4-speed transmission will get you there a little slower than the big rigs (55-60mph is it's happy place) but you can get 15mpg! Not ideal for interstate travel but perfect for iconic scenic routes! This rig is self contained with a 20-gal fresh water tank, 20-gal gray tank, 8-gal black (toilet) tank, a battery to run the lights when you're not plugged in, a 2-burner gas stove, 4-gal electric water heater for the kitchen sink & shower, and 2 sleeping surfaces.Roof top AC & heat will keep you cozy once you're parked and plugged in. The cab offers heat and fresh air vents; no AC. You can connect your phone to the stereo via Bluetooth for music and directions (GPS enabled touch screen). It is a manual transmission, so you'll need experience driving manuals.Ce qui est inclusBedding, pillows and towels are provided along with local handmade soap.
Coffee maker, filters, coffee and 2 mugs are included. Check the 'Add-Ons' for a premium coffee package ;)
Eating and cooking utensils plus cookware are provided. There's also a toaster oven in lieu of a microwave or gas oven.
(There is no generator; not sure why the listing continues to show that a generator is included. The rig is not powered while on the road.)
RecommandationsThis rig is great for urban exploration as it has a smaller footprint than most pickup trucks and SUVs, and is less than 10ft tall and just under 80" wide. It fits in metered parking spots!Autres points à signalerManual transmission!! This is not the vehicle in which to learn how to drive a manual. Previous experience required.
Cargo and passengers Must be Less than 500lbs total!
The water tanks should be empty during transit to save weight, though it will have about 10 gallons of filtered water in it when you pick it up to cover incidental use while traveling to your destination.

My wife and I bought our first motorhome about 6 years ago and left our townhome near downtown Austin TX to begin our journey as full-timer RVers. We traveled to 40 states and Canada in the RV, making memories all along the way. That experience convinced us that RVing is THE best way to see the USA!
A few years ago we bought a house, then had a baby, and we're mostly stationary now.
We sold our first motorhome after renting it out, but we're back at it again with my recent restoration of a 77 Toyota MicroMini!

Règles et politiques

  • Animaux acceptés
  • Compatible avec un hayon
  • Pas de festivals de musique
  • Non fumeur
  • Kilométrage illimité
The roof is not a patio! Contact me first if roof access is required for maintenance, repair, or inspection.
NO Smoking! Your deposit will be retained to cover the cost of cleaning and running an ozone machine if you smoke in the RV.
Pets are allowed, but I do prefer a very thorough cleaning of the rig before you return it! If it comes back hairy, yucky or smelling like a wet dog, I won't be able to offer it as a pet-friendly rig anymore, so please be respectful for everyone here ;)
The Toyota is limited to 60mph! Please don't try to exceed that speed, and try to avoid interstates.
Return it with a full tank of gas, just like a rental car. Failure to do so will cost you $3.00/gal. If the waste tanks are not empty when you return the RV, you will be charged a $40 dump fee.

Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
R.
I do my best to accommodate your schedule!

Q.Are there any special tricks and tips that would help with operating the RV easily?
R.
It is a vintage carbureted Toyota from the 70s... That means you may have to pump the gas pedal a couple of time before turning the key to start it, and it may require 3 or 4 attempts if the engine is cold. Once it starts, the electric choke will make the engine idle high, but tap the gas pedal and it returns to normal idle speed (this is a normal function for choke on carbureted engines). It is a manual transmission! Push the clutch pedal in All The Way when shifting!

Q.How do the electric, water and sewage hook up work while setting up at the campground?
R.
A 30-amp RV power cord pulls out of the rear driver's side of the vehicle. A converter plug is included if you only have access to a standard 15-amp outlet (though this may limit functionality of appliances). The storage under the passenger side rear dinette cushion houses a water hose and filter (for city hookup, which is exterior driver's side wall). Also you'll find a sewage hose (in a plastic trash bag). There is a dump valve for black water, and a separate valve for gray.

Q.Are there any limitations to operating a small vintage motorhome like this one?
R.
Glad you asked! Yes. While it's size makes it easy to maneuver in urban environments, and makes 15mpg attainable, it also means you're limited on space, and more importantly, cargo. You must limit all cargo, including passengers, to 500lbs! You also must empty the holding tanks before traveling, with the exception of about 10 gallons of fresh water.
